KnorpelRegister DGOU: Was können wir aus der Versorgungsforschung lernen?
Zusammenfassung: Das KnorpelRegister DGOU wurde im Oktober 2013 initiiert und erlaubt die prospektive Erfassung von Patienten mit Knorpelschäden am Kniegelenk, der Hüfte und dem oberen Sprunggelenk (OSG). Anders als prospektiv-randomisierte Studien bildet es die Versorgungsrealität in Deutschland ab und erlaubt somit für die Behandlung von Knorpelpatienten relevante und wertvolle Schlussfolgerungen. Die ersten Publikationen detektieren hierbei interessante epidemiologische Zusammenhänge, aber auch wichtige Informationen über die Gelenkfunktion und Komplikationen knorpelregenerativer Operationstechniken.
Summary: The German Cartilage Registry (KnorpelRegister DGOU) was initiated in October 2013 and allows the prospective enrollment of patients with cartilage damage to the knee joint, the hip and the ankle joint. In contrast to prospective randomized studies, it represents the unselected reality of cartilage repair patients in Germany, allowing relevant and valuable conclusions for the treatment of these patients. The first publications describe interesting epidemiological data, but also important information about the joint function in patients suffering from cartilage defects as well as complications of cartilage-regenerative surgical techniques. The present article describes the German Cartialge Registry and summarizes recent publications.
