Die Indikation für den radialseitigen Fixateur externe besteht für Frakturen mit einer lateralen Trümmerzone. Auch bei Frakturen, die geschlossen nicht zu reponieren sind, kann über den Fixateur externe eine Reposition und Retention erzielt werden. Eine frühe Mobilisation ist auch hier möglich [16].
