Die Indikation zur inversen Schultertotalendoprothese weitet sich aktuell schnell aus. Schulterchirurgen sollten jedoch nicht nur die großen Vorteile der inversen Schulterendoprothetik im Auge haben, sondern auch die hohe Komplikationsrate und insbesondere die noch nicht ausreichend vorliegenden Langzeitergebnisse. Abstract: The reverse shoulder arthroplasty represent the most developing field in shoulder arthroplasty in the last ten years. It results in excellent pain relief and highly satisfactory improvements in patients for whom conventional arthroplasty has previously yielded less satisfactory outcomes. Indications continue to evolve and the number of prostheses implanted is rapidly expanding. Surgeons need to be aware not only of potential benefits but also of complications and ongoing concerns regarding the longevity of this prosthesis. The Deleta Xtend Shoulder System bases on a long clinical experiences. Technical innovation has lead from good to excellent clinical results next to a low revision rate.
